Nebraska Lutheran's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Lucas Corwin, who scored ten points. Another player making a difference was Lukas Worster, who scored six points along with five rebounds and four steals.
Nebraska Lutheran struggled to work together and finished the game with only two assists. That's the fewest assists they've managed all season.
Nebraska Lutheran's loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 5-2. As for Bruning-Davenport/Shickley, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-6.
Nebraska Lutheran will take on East Butler at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Bruning-Davenport/Shickley is on the road again on Tuesday and play against Humboldt-Table Rock-Steinauer at 5:30 p.m. on January 9th.
