Hyde Park and Brooks go head to head on Saturday at 11:00 AM in their first playoff match of the year. Hyde Park are expected to win -- but not by much -- so they will need to come into the matchup prepared for a fight.
Brooks brought a three-game winning streak into their game against Chicago Vocational last Friday; they left with a four-game streak. Brooks were able to grind out a solid victory over Chicago Vocational, winning 26-14. Senior Darrin Cotton was the offensive standout of the match for Brooks, as he accumulated 265 passing yards and picked up 72 yards on the ground. Cotton has been a consistent playmaker for Brooks as this was the 9th good game in a row from him.
Meanwhile, Hyde Park came out on top in a nail-biter against Lake View, sneaking past 2-0.
Their wins bumped Brooks to 6-3 and Hyde Park to 7-2. We'll see which team can carry over their success and which team inevitably falls when Brooks and Hyde Park clash.
