After a string of seven wins, the Ridgeline Riverhawks's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They fell just short of Westlake by a score of 66-63. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Ridgeline in their matchups with Westlake: they've now lost four in a row.
Ridgeline lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Jagger Francom, who scored 14 points along with eight rebounds. The contest was Francom's fourth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Carson Cox, who scored 22 points along with six rebounds.
Ridgeline's loss dropped their record down to 7-2. As for Westlake, their victory bumped their record up to 3-6.
Ridgeline will head out on the road to face off against Woods Cross at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Woods Cross comes in still looking for their first win of the season. Westlake will be home for the holidays to greet Layton at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Layton has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
