Brooke Reaves made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out ten batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off three hits. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in March. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with three RBI.
In other batting news, Shelby Seaberry and Rylee Bennett did most of the damage at the plate: Seaberry went 2-for-4 with one home run and two runs, while Bennett got on base in four of her five plate appearances with two runs and two RBI. Jacksboro was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .424. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Eastland only posted a batting average of .130.
The victory (which was Jacksboro's sixth in a row) raised their record to 21-11-1. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.3 runs over those games. As for Eastland, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 17-11.
Coming up, Jacksboro is taking a road trip to face off against Wall on Friday. The Hawks will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each game than the last. Eastland does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
