Grant is on a five-game streak of home wins, while Edison is on a three-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. After each having a week off, the two teams will shake off the rust and duke it out at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Two weeks ago, Grant took their matchup with ease, bagging a 48-7 victory over Cordova. The Pacers pushed the score to 48-0 by the end of the third, a deficit the Lancers cut but never quite recovered from.

Damarcus Brown
| 10/30/25 @ Cordova | 89 |
| 10/17/25 vs Antelope | 64 |
| 09/12/25 vs Clovis East | 40 |
| 09/27/25 @ Lincoln | 29 |
| 09/05/25 @ Cardinal Newman | 17 |
Blake Nycum had another great game (as he tends to do), throwing for 352 yards and five touchdowns on perfect 10-for-10 passing. He has been hot recently, having posted three or more passing touchdowns the last three times he's played. A healthy portion of Nycum's aerial production (89 yards to be exact) went to Damarcus Brown, who also brought in a receiving touchdown.
Wins are hard to come by when you can't run the rock, something Grant proved: they limited Cordova to a paltry 2.6 yards per carry. The team can thank Gary Tia for the heroic effort on defense: he. Grant's run defense has been on the up-and-up: they allowed 5.01 yards per carry earlier this season, but they've only allowed 13.17 on average over their last five games.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Edison). They blew past Lodi 56-17 last Friday. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Vikings' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 148th, while the Flames are ranked 700th).
Grant better keep an eye on Devin Rasmussen. He was instrumental in Edison's win, throwing for 393 yards and seven TDs on only 16 passes. Those 393 passing yards gave Rasmussen a new career-high.
Edison's defense made their presence known, laying out Drew Tetz four times. That dominant display was truly a team effort as four different players picked up one apiece.
Edison's record now sits at 6-4. As for Grant, the win was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 6-4.
Everything went Grant's way against Edison in their previous meeting back in August of 2024, as Grant made off with a 28-7 victory. Will the Pacers repeat their success, or do the Vikings have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
