The Sheridan Blackhawks's game on Thursday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They came out on top against Monroe Central by a score of 55-48.
Sheridan's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Tyler Garner, who scored 15 points along with eight rebounds. Garner continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Trent Decrane was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with eight assists and three steals.
Sheridan now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Monroe Central, they now have a losing record at 5-6.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Sheridan will be staying on the road on January 5th to face off against Tri-Central at 7:30 p.m. on January 5th. As for Monroe Central, they will challenge Union at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Hopefully Union focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up nine last Tuesday.
