Carly Davison was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 20 points and 11 assists. She has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last 13 times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Sara Parkison, who scored 17 points along with eight rebounds and five assists.
Meanwhile, winning is just a little bit easier when you nail six more threes than your opponent, a fact Tri-County proved on Thursday. They secured a 47-42 W over Caston.
Tri-County got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Sara Zarse out in front who scored nine points along with 11 rebounds and three steals. Zarse is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Grace Luck, who scored nine points along with two steals.
Clinton Central's victory bumped their record up to 19-1. As for Tri-County, they have been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record this season.
Keep an eye on the arc in Tuesday's matchup: Clinton Central have been dynamite from deep this season, having made 47% of their threes per game. It's a different story for Tri-County, though, as they've only drained 34.8% of their threes per game this season. Given Clinton Central's sizeable advantage in that area, Tri-County will need to find a way to close that gap.
