Ashley put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They walked away with a 10-6 victory over the Topsail Pirates. That's two games straight that the Screaming Eagle have won by exactly four runs.

Cole Barnes made a splash no matter where he played. He struck out nine batters over six innings while giving up just two earned (and three unearned) runs off six hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 1-for-3. That run was his first of the season.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Drew Potter, who went 2-for-3 with one home run and four RBI. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in RBI.

Ashley pushed their record up to 5-0 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Topsail, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-3 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ashley will take on West Brunswick at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Topsail, they will challenge New Hanover at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
