The Classical Academy Titans will head out on the road to face off against the Rampart Rams at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Classical Academy will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but The Classical Academy ultimately got the result they hoped for on Wednesday. They snuck past Falcon with a 50-46 win. The score was all tied up 24-24 at the break, but The Classical Academy was the better team in the second half.
Alaina Bonacquista continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 16 points along with five assists and three steals. She hasn't dropped below two steals for five straight games. Ellery Grebenik was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with six rebounds.
Rampart suffered their biggest loss since November 29, 2023 on Thursday. They were the victim of a tough 72-48 defeat at the hands of Doherty. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat Rampart has suffered against Doherty since January 10, 2020.
The Classical Academy's win was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-3. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.4 points per game. As for Rampart, their loss dropped their record down to 5-8.
The Classical Academy strolled past Rampart in their previous meeting back in January of 2023 by a score of 60-43. The rematch might be a little tougher for The Classical Academy since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
