The Centralia Panthers will head out to take on the Valley Falls Dragons at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Centralia has given up an average of 9.2 runs per game this season, but Monday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.
Back in April, Centralia needed a bit of extra time to put away Onaga. They had just enough and edged out the Buffaloes 13-12. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Panthers.

Centralia kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 18 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, Valley Falls beat Jackson Heights 6-3 on Saturday.
Birkley Hernandez made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off four hits. Hernandez was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.
Hernandez wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Cali Delong, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and two runs. Delong is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games she's played.
Centralia's record now sits at 3-1. As for Valley Falls, their record is now 10-8.
Monday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Centralia hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .340. However, it's not like Valley Falls struggles in that department as they've averaged .327. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
