Sienna Staite looked comfortable as she pitched four innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off seven hits. What's more, she posted five strikeouts, the most she's had since back in March of 2024.
On the hitting side, Sammy Baca was incredible, firing off two home runs, four runs, and four RBI while going 4-for-4. Those two home runs gave her a new career-high. Kaitlyn Moody was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.
Christian lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, Spanish Springs got the win against McQueen on Saturday by a conclusive 16-5.
Izzy Chisholm was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with four runs, five RBI, and two doubles. She also hit a triple, marking her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Mackenzie Kirkendoll, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with three runs, four RBI, and one stolen base.
Spanish Springs' win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-1. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 7-1.
Spanish Springs' hitters will have their work cut out for them on Thursday. Christian has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 8.2 strikeouts per game.
