The Temple Christian Academy Warriors waltzed into their game Thursday with seven straight wins but they left with eight. They came out on top in a nail-biter against New Covenant School and snuck past 57-54. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Temple Christian Academy also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2023.
Temple Christian Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jeramy Trangmar, who scored 22 points along with nine rebounds and four steals. The matchup was Trangmar's 15th in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Ethan Moses, who scored 19 points along with eight rebounds and three steals.
Temple Christian Academy pushed their record up to 13-3 with that win, which was their fourth straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.0 points per game. As for New Covenant School, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-3.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Temple Christian Academy won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Oakwood Christian at 6:00 p.m. on January 12th. New Covenant School will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Hampton Park Christian at 7:30 p.m. on January 23rd.
