When it comes to explaining why Lee's Summit North lost on Friday, one person who can't be blamed is Tanner Howes. Despite the final result, he rushed for 113 yards and three touchdowns on only 14 carries.
Rockhurst pushed their record up to 9-1 with that win, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Lee's Summit North, their defeat ended a 12-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 10-1.
Rockhurst will face off against Nixa at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Nixa has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 438 points over their last ten contests. Lee's Summit North does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
