The Fairbury Jeffs will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against the Central City Bison at 7:45 p.m. on December 29th. Both teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Thursday, Fairbury escaped with a win against Bruning-Davenport/Shickley by the margin of a single free throw, 33-32.
Blake Starr was his usual excellent self, scoring 14 points along with eight rebounds. The game was his third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Brodie Prellwitz, who scored eight points.
Meanwhile, Central City had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7.3 points), and they went ahead and made it five on Thursday. The stars were shining brightly for them in a 57-43 victory over Wilber-Clatonia.
Fairbury now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Central City, their win was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-1.
