After both having extra time off, the El Diamante Miners and the Monache Marauders will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. El Diamante will be strutting in after a win while Monache will be coming in after a defeat.
El Diamante not only won on Wednesday, but they posted their biggest win since September 2nd (when they won 3-0). They put the hurt on Mt. Whitney with a sharp 3-0 victory. The win continues a trend for the Miners in their matchups with the Pioneers: they've now won nine in a row.
Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-11, 25-11.

El Diamante got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Lilah Martinez out in front who had 17 digs. Those 17 digs gave Martinez a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jordan Mata, who had nine digs and one assist.
Meanwhile, Monache suffered their biggest loss since September 4th on Wednesday. They lost 3-0 to Redwood.
The final score came out to 25-19, 25-11, 25-13.
Monache's defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 11-12-1. As for El Diamante, their win bumped their record up to 18-3.
Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Tuesday's matchup: El Diamante has really dialed in their serving this season, having averaged 9 aces per game. However, it's not like Monache struggles in that department as they've been averaging 7.4 aces. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
Everything went El Diamante's way against Monache in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, as El Diamante made off with a 3-0 victory. Will the Miners repeat their success, or do the Marauders have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
