Lillie Crimm was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run while striking out 12 over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than 12 strikeouts in five consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 2-for-3. Those two stolen bases gave her a new career-high.

In other batting news, Maddie Fryer was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with four RBI, one triple, and one stolen base. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Isabella Hayhurst, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two runs and one triple.
Grafton always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .593. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Berkeley Springs only posted an OBP of .167.
Meanwhile, Philip Barbour has relied on a stalwart pitcher averaging 3.29 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Saturday. They came up short against Moorefield, falling 10-0. The Colts have struggled against the Yellow Jackets recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meeting.
Philip Barbour saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Olivia Wilmoth, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.
Grafton's victory bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Philip Barbour, their loss dropped their record down to 4-3.
Tuesday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Grafton hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .314. However, it's not like Philip Barbour struggles in that department as they've averaged .411. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
