The Kim/Branson Mustangs had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 29.5 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They came out on top against Wiley by a score of 54-46. For Kim/Branson, this counts as revenge for the 69-46 defeat Wiley walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January of 2023.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Kim/Branson to victory, but perhaps none more so than Cameron Rosas, who scored 13 points along with three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Rosas has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Trotter Watkins, who scored 16 points.
When it comes to explaining why Wiley lost, one person who can't be blamed is Rhett McDonald. Despite the final result, he scored 22 points along with five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Bo Arnold, who scored ten points along with nine rebounds and five steals.
Kim/Branson's win ended a ten-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-6. As for Wiley, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 4-6.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Cheraw the next time they take the court. Kim/Branson will head out to face Cheraw at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while Wiley will host them at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
