The Mayfield Wildcats will take on the Beaumont School Blue Streaks in a tournament on Saturday. Mayfield is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak.
On Tuesday, Mayfield didn't have quite enough to beat South and fell 3-2.
Mayfield actually scored more points across those five sets (103-101), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The final score came out to 25-23, 25-27, 25-15, 11-25, 15-13.

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from VIVIAN GERBASI, who had 24 digs and two aces. She has been hot for a while, having posted ten or more digs the last nine times she's played. CHACEE PRINGLE was another key player, getting 18 digs.
Meanwhile, Beaumont School lost 3-0 to Holy Name on Thursday. The Blue Streaks haven't had much luck with the Green Wave recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.
While Beaumont School was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-23, 25-12.
Beaumont School's loss dropped their record down to 3-13. As for Mayfield, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-10.
