Chester County walked away with a 31-18 victory over Trinity Christian Academy on Friday. Given Chester County's advantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 35th, while Trinity Christian Academy is ranked 326th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Despite the loss, Trinity Christian Academy saw an underclassman step up: Tori Robinson scored seven points. Robinson is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last three games she's played.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Trinity Christian Academy struggled to work together and finished the game with only four assists. They are winless (0-3) when they just don't pass the ball.
Chester County's win bumped their record up to 7-1. As for Trinity Christian Academy, they have fallen quite a ways from their 19-6 record last season and are now at 2-11.
Chester County will head out on the road to face off against Bolivar Central at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Trinity Christian Academy won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Jackson North Side at 1:00 p.m. on December 30th.
