Manchester's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Zy'terrious Grey led the charge by scoring 11 points along with nine rebounds and four steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Grey has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Brontae Jones, who scored nine points along with ten rebounds and seven steals.
Meanwhile, Macon County beat Taylor County 62-49 on Tuesday. Given Macon County's advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 134th, while Taylor County is ranked 363rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Manchester is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 8-5 record this season. As for Macon County, their win bumped their record up to 13-2.
