The Davenport Broncos will take on the Aubrey Rogers Patriots at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
Davenport is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They were the clear victor by a 31-6 margin over Tenoroc on Friday. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Broncos as it put an end to their five-game losing streak.
Jaden Roman was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out six batters over three innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off only one hit. Roman was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 2-for-4. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in RBI (three).

In other batting news, Davenport let Brylandd Canode and Jovani Pacheco run wild. Canode scored four runs while going 3-for-4, while Pacheco scored four runs while going 2-for-2. Those four runs gave Canode a new career-high. Jacob Bishop was another key player, scoring four runs while going 1-for-4.
Davenport hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now struck out at most four strikeouts in three consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, Aubrey Rogers came tearing into Thursday's game with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.4 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the Golden Eagles 10-4. Considering the Patriots have won five contests by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.
Aubrey Rogers also got a great performance from Brandon Leiva as he struck out eight batters over six innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off six hits. What's more, Leiva gave up only three walks, the fewest he's had since back in February.
On the hitting side, Jayden Bartlett was a standout: he scored two runs and stole Two bases. while going 3-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Tristan DeGenova, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4.
Aubrey Rogers' win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-3. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.7 runs on average over those games. As for Davenport, their victory bumped their record up to 3-9.
