This season hasn't been kind to the ITW David Speer Academy Pride, who are still winless after their fifth matchup. They were the victim of a tough 53-32 defeat at the hands of Rauner on Thursday. ITW David Speer Academy was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Rauner apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January of 2020.
Yahweh Anderson was his usual excellent self, scoring 19 points along with eight rebounds for Rauner. Anderson is absolutely dominating the steal category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Quintin Hunt was another key contributor, scoring five points along with 11 rebounds and five blocks.
ITW David Speer Academy's defeat was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-5. As for Rauner, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 4-1.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. ITW David Speer Academy will play host again and welcome Muchin College Prep, where tip off is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Rauner will be home for the holidays to greet Clemente at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
