The Veribest Falcons are taking a road trip to take on the Bronte Longhorns at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Veribest will be strutting in after a victory while Bronte will be coming in after a loss.

Veribest won the last time they faced Paint Rock and Peyton Daniels did her part to make sure it happened again. The Falcons put the hurt on the Indians with a sharp 3-0 win on Saturday thanks in part to Daniels, who had 19 digs and five aces. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 10.5 digs per game.
The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Veribest was: they took every set by at least 13 points. The final score came out to 25-12, 25-7, 25-11.
Veribest relied on the efforts of Kaci York, who had eight kills, six aces, and one block, and Chloe Becker, who had 13 digs, five kills, and two aces. That's the most digs Becker has posted since back in September. Marli Daniels was another key player, getting ten assists and seven digs.
Meanwhile, Bronte unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-match winning streak on Saturday. They lost 3-0 to Water Valley.
Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-6, 25-16.
The victory made it two in a row for Veribest and bumps their season record up to 22-9. As for Bronte, their defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 12-19.
Veribest came up short against Bronte in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, falling 3-1. Can the Falcons avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
