The Harlem Bulldogs had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They enjoyed a cozy 67-51 win over Morgan County on Friday. This was payback for Harlem, who suffered a 72-65 defeat the last time these two teams met.
Harlem got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Chavis Johnson out in front who scored 16 points along with seven steals and five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Braylon Bussey, who scored 14 points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Harlem's victory bumped their record up to 9-7. As for Morgan County, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-10 record this season.
Harlem will be playing in front of their home fans against Cross Creek at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Morgan County, they will head out on the road to square off against Academy of Richmond County at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Academy of Richmond County presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Morgan County in Georgia (Academy of Richmond County is ranked 119th, while Morgan County is ranked 254th).
