Omaha Westside has gone a perfect 8-0 against Papillion-LaVista recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Warriors will face off against the Monarchs at 7:00 p.m. Omaha Westside knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 31 points or more in their past three games -- so hopefully Papillion-LaVista likes a good challenge.
Omaha Westside is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Nebraska's top teams: Creighton Prep, who was ranked 13th at the time (Omaha Westside was ranked fourth). The Warriors took their contest on Friday with ease, bagging a 52-20 victory over the Junior Jays. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 35-10.

Tay Tay Jenkins was his usual excellent self, rushing for 196 yards and four touchdowns on only 15 carries, while also picking up 39 receiving yards. His rushing production has been exceptional for a while as that marked his 17th straight game with at least 108 rushing yards dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was Braylen Warren, who rushed for 30 yards and one score.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Omaha Westside was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 254 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 182 rushing yards in three consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Papillion-LaVista had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. Everything went their way against Fremont on Friday as they made off with a 28-6 win. The contest was close at halftime, but the Monarchs turned on the heat in the second half with 21 points.
Omaha Westside better keep an eye on Brody Parr. He was instrumental in Papillion-LaVista's win, rushing for 202 yards and three TDs. Those three rushing touchdowns gave Parr a new career-high.
Omaha Westside's victory bumped their record up to 7-1. As for Papillion-LaVista, the win got them back to even at 4-4.
Thursday's matchup will pit two of the most dominant backs against one another: Jenkins and Parr. Jenkins just won't slow down this season and has run in 22 touchdowns while averaging 179.8 rushing yards per game. Parr has been a dominant force too and has run in 7 touchdowns while averaging 94.6 rushing yards per game.
