Brookstone is a perfect 3-0 against Strong Rock Christian since October of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Cougars will welcome the Patriots at 7:30 p.m.

On Friday, Brookstone came up short against Westfield School and fell 17-7. The contest marked the Cougars' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Even if they lost, Brookstone's defense still kept up the pressure with five sacks. Westfield School's QB won't forget Harrison Baker anytime soon given he sacked him 2.5 times. Brookstone got some further help from Charlie Peak: he picked up a sack and made seven total tackles (4.0 for loss).

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Strong Rock Christian, who bounced back after a loss on the road on October 3rd. They put the hurt on Calvary Christian with a sharp 31-7 victory on Friday. Considering the Patriots have won five matchups by more than 20 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Strong Rock Christian's win came from a few key players Brookstone will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Jake Johnson, who rushed for 103 yards and two TDs. He is becoming a predictor of Strong Rock Christian's success: when he posts at least two rushing touchdowns the team is 5-1 (and 1-2 when he doesn't). Another player making a difference was Blake Hahn, who rushed for 62 yards and one touchdown on only eight carries.

Strong Rock Christian was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 336 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 172 rushing yards in three consecutive contests.

Brookstone's loss was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 7-2. As for Strong Rock Christian, their win bumped their record up to 6-3.

Brookstone came out on top in a nail-biter against Strong Rock Christian in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, sneaking past 15-13. Will the Cougars repeat their success, or do the Patriots have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
