Basketball Recap: Boerne's Victory on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Five

Boerne entered their tilt with Pieper on Tuesday with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 45-42 victory over the Pieper Warriors.

Boerne's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Hank Hendrix, who posted ten points in addition to six boards and five assists. Another player making a difference was Nic Hernandez, who put up ten points and three steals.

Despite the loss, Pieper still got an impressive performance from ELLIOTT PERRY, who went 6 of 9 on his way to 17 points. Those 17 points gave PERRY a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of TRISTON ORTA, who had eight points and three steals.

Boerne has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 15-6 record this season. As for Pieper, their defeat dropped their record down to 15-8.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing New Braunfels the next time they take the court. Boerne will host New Braunfels at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, while Pieper will host them at 6:30 p.m. on January 7th.
