It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Ridgeline Falcons can now relate to. They took a 75-71 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Blue Devils. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Ridgeline came into the matchup with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 38th, while Walla Walla is ranked 125th).
Ridgeline lost on Saturday despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Brayden Allen, who scored 21 points. Allen continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Caden Andreas, who almost dropped a double-double on 15 points and nine assists.
Ridgeline has been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 13-8 record this season. As for Walla Walla, their victory bumped their record up to 12-9.
Ridgeline will head out on the road to face off against Southridge at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Southridge is facing Ridgeline at the right time seeing as Ridgeline is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Walla Walla, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against North Central at 6:00 p.m. North Central will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Walla Walla surely won't give up without a fight.
