Faith Baptist Christian Academy took a 46-38 hit to the loss column at the hands of The Habersham School. Faith Baptist Christian Academy has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Faith Baptist Christian Academy's loss came despite strong showings from Mary Weaver and Sophie Sellars. Weaver scored eight points along with seven steals and six rebounds, while Sellars scored 12 points. Weaver has been hot recently, having posted two or more blocks the last six times she's played.
Among those leading the charge was Maddie Viles, who scored 16 points along with seven rebounds. She continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Myla Shippy, who scored ten points along with nine rebounds.
Faith Baptist Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 9-6. As for The Habersham School, the victory got them back to even at 8-8.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Faith Baptist Christian Academy will take on Frederica Academy at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for The Habersham School, they will be playing at home against Heritage Christian Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
