Coventry was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Beaumont School work for it, especially in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 29-27, 25-20, 22-25, 25-21.
Kayleigh Wilcox paced Coventry's offense, picking up 12 kills. Wilcox got some help from Mckenzie Osborne and her 22 assists. Osborne was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.
Coventry has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 16-8 record this season. As for Beaumont School, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-17.
