Civic Memorial's defeat came about despite a quality game from Adam Ogden, who scored 15 points along with 3 steals. Ogden scored a full 42.9% of Civic Memorial's points, the second time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Riley Lamb was another key contributor, scoring 6 points along with 9 rebounds.
Meanwhile, Gillespie lost to Edinburg on the road by a decisive 68-52 margin on Saturday. Gillespie has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Civic Memorial now has a losing record at 2-3. As for Gillespie, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-4.
