Ardmore waltzed into their contest on Friday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They really took it to the Tecumseh Savages for the full four quarters, racking up a 62-26 victory. Considering the Tigers have won four games by more than 20 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Ardmore didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as MARCUS ADDISON, TYSON LASTER, and MARCUS FOARD picked up one apiece. LASTER's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 103 rushing yards. He got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.
Despite the loss, Tecumseh still got an impressive performance from Jekhi Owens, who picked up 222 receiving yards and three TDs. With that strong performance, Owens is now averaging an impressive 108.2 receiving yards per game. Wyatt Dodgion was another key player, having thrown for 270 yards and three touchdowns.
Ardmore's win bumped their record up to 7-3. As for Tecumseh, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-7.
