The Jaguars took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bulldogs on Tuesday. That makes it the first time this season the Jaguars have let down their home crowd.
Madison Central couldn't get the win, but they sure gave Brandon a tough time in the second set. The final score came out to 25-11, 29-31, 25-23, 26-24.
Meanwhile, Tupelo made easy work of Horn Lake on Tuesday and carried off a 3-0 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Golden Wave.
Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Tupelo took every set by at least ten points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 25-15, 25-10.
Tupelo's victory bumped their record up to 21-13. As for Madison Central, their loss dropped their record down to 25-10.
Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Tuesday's contest: Madison Central has really dialed in their serving this season, having averaged 6.9 aces per game. However, it's not like Tupelo struggles in that department as they've been averaging 8.3 aces. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
