Winning always takes teamwork, but on Friday Brady Duer stepped things up a notch to give Goddard the 'W'. Nobody could stop Duer as he got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. He is becoming a predictor of Goddard's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 7-14 when he doesn't).

Duer's strong effort led Goddard over Los Alamos and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Rockets are a perfect 4-0 against the Hilltoppers going back to May of 2015, a lead they'll look to extend.
