This season hasn't been kind to the Tonopah Valley Phoenix, who are still winless after their fourth game. They ended up on the wrong side of a rough 23-0 walloping at the hands of Desert Christian on Saturday. Tonopah Valley lost against Desert Christian in their previous head to head back in December of 2022, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 38-10 score last time.
Desert Christian got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Addison Jones out in front who scored 2 points along with 6 steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Emmy Welch, who scored 5 points along with 5 steals.
Tonopah Valley's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Desert Christian, the victory got them back to even at 3-3.
Tonopah Valley's road trip will continue as they head out to face Wickenburg at 4:00 p.m. on December 2nd. As for Desert Christian, they will face off against Patagonia at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Patagonia's defense has only allowed 29.5 points per game this season, so Desert Christian's offense will have their work cut out for Desert Christian.
