It was a good run, but the Georgia Force Christian Blue Knights unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell 71-64 to Pinecrest Academy. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Georgia Force Christian has scored all season.
Despite the loss, Georgia Force Christian still got an impressive performance from Carter Mccarn, who dropped a double-double on 34 points and 16 rebounds. Mccarn scored a full 53.1% of Georgia Force Christian's points, the fifth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Shawn Brown was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
It was another big night for Joe Frain, who dropped a double-double on 26 points and 19 rebounds for Pinecrest Academy. The contest was Frain's sixth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Matthew Heaney, who scored 21 points.
Georgia Force Christian's defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 4-1. As for Pinecrest Academy, the win got them back to even at 3-3.
Georgia Force Christian will head out on the road to face off against Grace Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Grace Christian Academy presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Georgia Force Christian in Georgia (Grace Christian Academy is ranked 69th, while Georgia Force Christian is ranked 250th). Pinecrest Academy will be home for the holidays to greet Fellowship Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
