Lake Braddock has gone a perfect 10-0 against West Springfield recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Bruins will head out to square off against the Spartans at 7:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Lake Braddock's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They took their game with ease, bagging a 35-0 victory over Fairfax. The win continues a trend for the Bruins in their matchups with the Lions: they've now won five in a row.

| 10/17/25 @ West Potomac | 1 |
| 08/28/25 vs Alexandria City | 1 |
Samuel Rhye was a one-man wrecking crew as he rushed for 95 yards and three touchdowns on only 13 carries. Those three rushing touchdowns gave him a new career-high. Tyrone Jackson was another key player, throwing for 171 yards and one TD.
Lake Braddock didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited Fairfax to a completion percentage of just 43.5%. The team can thank Matt Holcomb for the heroic effort on defense: he. That defensive display was nothing new: Lake Braddock has limited their opponent to a lower and lower completion percentage in four consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, a well-balanced attack led West Springfield over Alexandria City in every quarter on their way to victory on Friday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Spartans blew the Titans out of the water with a 35-0 final score. The Spartans pushed the score to 28-0 by the end of the third, a deficit the Titans had little chance of recovering from.
Lake Braddock better keep an eye on Dillan Wickham. He was instrumental in West Springfield's win, rushing for 193 yards and one score while picking up 12.1 yards per carry. Another player making a difference was Scott Lewis, who threw for 109 yards and one touchdown.
Lake Braddock's record is now 8-1. As for West Springfield, their record now sits at 7-2.
Friday's contest might be decided on the ground. Lake Braddock has been excellent on the ground this season, having averaged 161.9 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like West Springfield struggles in that department as they've been averaging 185.7 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's game turns into a tough fight on the ground.
Everything came up roses for Lake Braddock against West Springfield when the teams last played back in November of 2024, as the team secured a 54-19 victory. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was the Spartans' Mark-Anthony Whyte, who picked up 165 receiving yards and one TD, and also rushed for 150 yards on only 14 carries. Now that he won't be playing on Friday, will it be easier for the Bruins to walk away with another win? There's only one way to find out.
