Buchanan entered their tilt with Dowagiac on Friday with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. They enjoyed a cozy 49-33 victory over the Dowagiac Chieftains. Given the Bucks' advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 237th, while the Chieftains are ranked 608th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Buchanan's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 14-6. As for Dowagiac, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-17.

Looking ahead, Buchanan is taking a road trip to challenge Benton Harbor at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Dowagiac, they will welcome Niles at 7:15 p.m. on Monday.
