Softball Recap: Boardman's Win on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Boardman entered their tilt with Harding on Tuesday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They blew past the Raiders 11-1. That's more bragging rights for the Spartans, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

The team relied heavily on Tori Strines, who scored two runs and stole three bases while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. Those stolen bases marked the first that she snagged this season. Laci Jurus was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing three bases while getting on base in two of her three plate appearances.

Boardman's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 4-1. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Harding, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-2.

Coming up, Boardman will host Archbishop Hoban at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Harding, they will venture away from home to challenge McKinley at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Raiders are facing the Red Dragons at the right time seeing as the Red Dragons are stuck on a six-game losing streak.
