The Palo Verde Titans posted their biggest victory since November 28, 2023 on Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat San Miguel 85-42 on the road. Given Palo Verde's advantage in MaxPreps' Arizona basketball rankings (they are ranked 108th, while San Miguel is ranked 335th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Palo Verde's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Kameron Pippen, who scored nine points along with seven steals and six assists. Another player making a difference was Rozzy Martin, who scored 17 points along with two steals.
The victory makes it two in a row for Palo Verde and bumps their season record up to 15-5. As for San Miguel, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-14.
Palo Verde will be playing in front of their home fans against Safford at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Safford knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past three games -- so hopefully Palo Verde likes a good challenge.
