Given Eastside's advantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey basketball rankings (they are ranked 40th, while Seneca is ranked 166th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Eastside was led to victory by Jalen Long and Jahaan Green. Long scored 18 points along with five assists, while Green scored 22 points along with eight rebounds and five steals. The game was Green's third in a row with at least ten points. Mahdee Mcnair was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.
The victory was the third in a row for Eastside, bringing their record for this year to 3-0. They've been dominating during the matchups in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 48.33 points. As for Seneca, their loss was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-3.
Eastside and Parkland will round out the year against one another at 3:00 p.m. on December 28th at. One thing working in Parkland's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last three matches. As for Seneca, they will head out on the road to face off against Camden County Vo-Tech at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
