ED White is 0-6 against Baldwin since March of 2017 but things could change on Thursday. The Commanders will head out to face off against the Indians at 6:30 p.m. ED White is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.7 runs per game this season.
ED White will bounce into Thursday's matchup after beating Hilliard, who they had gone 0-4 against in their four prior meetings. The Commanders came out on top against the Flashes by a score of 9-4 on Tuesday. The victory was some much needed relief for the Commanders as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Kenai Wilkins made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out 11 batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off four hits. Those 11 strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two runs and one RBI. ED White is undefeated when Wilkins posts two or more runs, but 3-8 otherwise.
Wilkins wasn't the only one making solid contact as six players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Clayton Friddell, who went 1-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. That's the most RBI Friddell has posted since back in March. Another was Marion Laguerre, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one run and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Baldwin suffered their biggest loss since February 27th on Tuesday. They lost 10-0 to Trinity Christian Academy. While getting shut out isn't ideal, the Indians haven't been shut out since back in March.
Baldwin also got a good showing from Braylen Snyder, who pitched 1.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. What's more, Snyder gave up only zero walks, the fewest he's had since back in March.
Baldwin's defeat dropped their record down to 13-11. As for ED White, their record now sits at 14-8.
Baldwin's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: ED White hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .346. It's a different story for Baldwin, though, as they've only averaged .257. Will they be able to contain ED White's hitters?
ED White suffered a grim 13-5 defeat to Baldwin in their previous matchup back in April of 2022. Can the Commanders avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
