Fleming County hasn't had much luck against East Carter recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. Fleming County will challenge East Carter at 6:00 p.m. Fleming County is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.7 runs per game this season.
It was a proper cat-fight when Fleming County faced off against Bath County on Monday. Fleming County walked away with a 4-0 win over Bath County. Winning may never get old, but the Panthers sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.
The result came thanks to Jett Martin's shutout, as he gave up just two hits and racked up eight Ks.

At the plate, Parker Sills was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-3. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in doubles (two). Another player making a difference was Thadd Applegate, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4.
Meanwhile, East Carter got the win against Shelby Valley on Saturday by a conclusive 10-3.
East Carter let Mason Valandingham and Brayden Flatt run wild. Valandingham scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances, while Flatt scored two runs while going 2-for-4. Valandingham also got a hit, marking his first of the season. Reid Griffith was another key player, scoring a run while going 1-for-2.
East Carter was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .379. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Shelby Valley only posted a batting average of .222.
East Carter now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Fleming County, their record is now 4-2.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Wednesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Fleming County has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 4.5 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like East Carter struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 3 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Fleming County might still be hurting after the 12-2 defeat they got from East Carter when the teams last played back in May of 2023. Can Fleming County avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
