The Trinity Wolves will be playing at home against the Etna Lions at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Etna took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Trinity, who comes in off a win.
Even though Trinity has not done well against Fall River recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Trinity secured a 52-46 W over Fall River. The win was just what Trinity needed coming off of a 52-15 defeat in their prior contest.
Trinity's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Chloe Albiez led the charge by dropping a double-double on 13 points and 11 rebounds. Kloe Kist was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with four steals.
Meanwhile, things could have been worse for Etna, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 51-33 loss to Modoc on Friday. While losing is never fun, Etna can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 787th, while Modoc is ranked 330th).
Trinity is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a massive bump to their 15-11 record this season. As for Etna, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-16.
Trinity took their victory against Etna when the teams last played back in January by a conclusive 54-32. Does Trinity have another victory up their sleeve, or will Etna turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
