Kennedy were able to grind out a solid victory over St. Patrick-St. Vincent last Friday, winning 40-28. Junior Camron Young was the offensive standout of the match for Kennedy, as he rushed for 211 yards and 2 touchdowns. Young has now scored at least one touchdown in the past nine games.
Meanwhile, Salesian College Preparatory came into their this week averaging 40.38 points per game, but Salesian College Preparatory fell well short of that average, and it cost them. They took a serious blow against El Cerrito, falling 7-48. The low total for Salesian College Preparatory limited their streak of high-flying scores to four in a row.
Kennedy's win lifted them to 8-1 while Salesian College Preparatory's loss dropped them down to 5-4. The Kennedy defense got after the quarterback against St. Patrick-St. Vincent to the tune of 7.5 sacks, so Salesian College Preparatory's offensive line better have put in some good practice this past week in preparation for the matchup.
