Baseball Recap: Malibu Takes a Loss

Malibu was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They lost 11-5 to the Nordhoff Rangers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Rangers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 4-3 last Wednesday.

Malibu saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sean Perl, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 4-for-4. Those four hits gave Perl a new career-high.

Malibu's defeat dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Nordhoff, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-5.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Malibu will face off against rival Hueneme at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Nordhoff is set to take on their familiar foe Santa Paula at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
