Las Plumas enjoyed a cozy 66-50 win over Orland on Tuesday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Las Plumas also won the last time the pair played two weeks ago.
Las Plumas got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Elijah Laster out in front who scored 18 points along with six rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Laster has scored all season. T.J. Thompson was another key contributor, scoring 22 points along with five rebounds.
Orland's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Preston Carlson, who scored ten points along with two steals, and Zach Story who scored ten points along with eight rebounds and two steals. Story is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last five games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Khalil Coley, who scored six points along with five rebounds and two blocks.
Las Plumas has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a massive bump to their 14-7 record this season. As for Orland, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 12-8.
Las Plumas will be playing at home against Corning at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Corning is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses. As for Orland, they will head out on the road to take on Oroville at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Oroville is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak.
