Football Recap: Bloomfield Skates Past Lewis Mills with Ease

Bloomfield entered their tilt with Lewis Mills on Saturday with five consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with six. They breezed past the Spartans to the tune of 42-0. Considering the Warhawks have won three games by more than 35 points this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Bloomfield got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Lamont Applewhite out in front who picked up 107 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Applewhite showed off some serious burst, lighting up the secondary with a catch for 55 yards. Cameron White was another key player, rushing for 25 yards and one TD.

Bloomfield's run defense was locked in: Lewis Mills could only muster -0.3 yards per carry. The team can thank Dorian Pollard for the heroic effort on defense: he. Bloomfield didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged 7.7.

Bloomfield didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Nejon Bassue, Naihyr Grace, and Xavier Eaddy picked up one apiece.

Bloomfield's victory bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Lewis Mills, their defeat was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 1-7.
