Parker lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Isaiah Miles, who rushed for 110 yards and one touchdown on only ten carries. Parker also got help from Jacoby Quates Jr, who showed off his sure hands for 97 receiving yards.

Kaleb Carson produced another solid performance rushing for 125 yards and three TDs, while also throwing for 153 yards and a pair of touchdowns while completing 73.9% of his passes for Homewood. Those 125 rushing yards gave Carson a new career-high. Homewood's leading receiver Tomon Felton was Carson's top target yet again, picking up 117 receiving yards and one score.
Parker's loss was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 6-3. As for Homewood, they pushed their record up to 7-1 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road.
