They were just one part of a punishing run game: Indian Lake was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 200 rushing yards. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their rushing yard total in four consecutive games.
Meanwhile, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, North Union beat Carlisle 40-36 on Friday.
North Union's win came from a few key players Indian Lake will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Nick Vanhoose, who rushed for 149 yards and three touchdowns. Friday's contest might be decided on the ground. Indian Lake has been excellent on the ground this season, having averaged 151.9 rushing yards per game. Indian Lake came out on top in a nail-biter against North Union when the teams last played back in September, sneaking past 17-14. Do the Lakers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Wildcats turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
